The Leenderbos Trail sets off from the grounds of the De Molenberg riding school in Leende, on the edge of the Leenderbossen woods. The course is built from three loops of roughly nine kilometres with the aid station as the pivot. Everyone first runs the green loop, which links the aid station to the two other loops; from there you decide for yourself whether to add one or both, ending up on 9, 18 or 27 kilometres. That structure means you only have to commit to a distance once you are already out there. Runners set off within a generous one-hour start window, so the field spreads out across the forest paths.
