TRI Almere is an official Dutch Triathlon Association event in the TRI HARD Series, based in Almere Haven. The race starts at the swimming beach on the Gooimeer, then moves onto fast, traffic-free kilometres along the Gooimeerdijk and finishes with running laps around the event site and the dike. That makes the course feel open, flat and easy to follow, while the wind by the water keeps it honest. The programme ranges from junior races and the Rookie Race to sprint, standard distance and TRI 100, so first-timers and experienced triathletes share the same race day. The organisation is polished, with timing, aid stations and plenty of support around Strandbrasserie De Jutter.
