Trail du Petit Papillon - Erezee

About the race

The Trail du Petit Papillon sets off in Mormont, a village of Érezée in the Ardennes. There are four distances: 8 kilometres with 300 metres of climbing, 15 with 700, 25 with 1100 and the Marathon du Papillon over 42 with 1800. That last figure makes the marathon one of the hardest in the country — nearly forty-five metres of climbing per kilometre, spread over the wooded slopes around the Aisne. The start times run inversely to the length, from half past nine for the marathon to half past eleven for the 8 kilometres, so that the field gathers at the finish around the same hour.
