The Trail Festival du Barrage takes place in the Parc Naturel des Deux Ourthes near La Roche-en-Ardenne, around the reservoir. There are five trail distances with elevation rising steeply alongside them: 7 kilometres with 220 metres of climbing, 11 with 280, 21 with 750, 28 with 1,000 and 48 with 1,650. For children there is a 3.5 kilometre course. The most distinctive element is the Trail-Kayak-Trail for pairs: first 7 kilometres of running, then 4 kilometres of kayaking on the river, then another 9 kilometres on foot — and the team must stay together throughout and finish together. Start and finish have recently moved to Ortho, with wider paths over the opening kilometres.
