The Trail de la Nuit de Mai sets off at the Salle du Pré Messire in Stavelot, on the edge of the Ardennes, and heads into the last light of the evening. The starts go from six o'clock, so the short distance still runs largely at dusk while the 23 kilometres heads into the dark — a headlamp is no luxury on that one. There are three trails of 8, 15 and 23 kilometres, with the climbing rising along with them, and a Kids Run of 3 kilometres besides. The event is organised by Les Djoyeûs Coreux, a local running club.
