Grand Trail des Lacs & Châteaux Winter Edition is a technical trail run from Ovifat in Luik, on the edge of the Hautes Fagnes nature park. The event uses unpaved paths, demanding elevation gain and a mix of valleys, woodland sections, open stretches and passages along lakes and castles. The organisers run several distances with UTMB Index points and emphasise self-sufficiency between aid stations. The Winter Edition keeps the relaxed trail feel that GTLC is known for while staying technical and nature-driven.
