The Trail de Bruxelles brings trail running inside the Brussels city limits: the start and finish are at the Sonian Forest sports centre on the Waversesteenweg in Auderghem, from where every course heads into the Sonian Forest as a single loop. More than ninety percent of the terrain consists of unpaved paths, which makes this feel like a genuine forest race rather than a city one. Four distances are on offer: 10 kilometres with 178 metres of climbing, 15 kilometres with 276, 20 kilometres with 307 and 25 kilometres with 374 metres. The longest distances have two aid stations. Starts are spread across the day and set off in waves on the busiest distances, which keeps the narrow forest paths comfortable. Run Series BXL organises the event.
