Tot de Nek in de Drek is an obstacle mud run in Vriezenveen that makes no secret of its Twente roots: every distance carries an animal name in dialect, from the Lammetjesrun of 1.5 kilometres to the Koei'n en Stier'n of 15 kilometres, which consists of two 7.5-kilometre laps. In between sit the Kuuk'n en Kip Loop of 2.5 kilometres, the Bigg'n Tocht of 5 and the Geit'n en Bokk'n of 7.5. Notably, the course is identical for everyone: children take on the same mud and water sections, with safety provisions at every obstacle and, in the youngest races, a parent alongside them. Afterwards a food and drink square with live music awaits.
