The Sterke Peer Triatlon in Wuustwezel is a triathlon festival that brings several formats together in a single day. At its core is the one-eighth triathlon over 750 metres of swimming, 20 kilometres of cycling and 5 kilometres of running. Alongside it are a trio triathlon in which a team divides the three disciplines between them, a Tiener Turbo triathlon for young athletes and a kids run for the youngest participants. The name refers to Petrus Janssen, the legendary strongman from Wuustwezel who in 1905 pulled a cart loaded with 4.5 tonnes of cobblestones and was reckoned the strongest man in the world. Triathlon Wuustwezel organises the event, which is also linked to To Walk Again.
