The Mollenjogging sets off from the garden of PC Mollenhof on the Lichtaartsesteenweg in Poederlee. The two main distances of roughly 5 and 10 kilometres go together in the early afternoon, over a course that alternates asphalt and forest tracks and passes through the Heggebos and along the Aa — more nature, then, than an ordinary village lap. An hour earlier the children run their own series over 100, 250, 600 and 1000 metres. That children's part is no side note: of the nearly four hundred participants, well over a third are children. This is above all a family event where serious running is also possible, rather than the other way round.
