The St. Jooster Trimloop is not an annual race but a fixed monthly appointment: on the first Saturday of every month it sets off from the Tussen de Berken sports complex, the grounds of VV Sint Joost. There are six distances, from 2.5 to 15 kilometres in steps of 2.5, so everyone can pick their own level without committing to anything in advance. The setup is deliberately simple: entry is possible until ten minutes before the start, the fee is one euro fifty, and afterwards the fields, the showers and the canteen are open. From April through October the start is at four in the afternoon, in the winter months an hour earlier.
