The Kranenbroeker Bosloop is not an annual race but a monthly one: every second Sunday of the month, from September through April, in the Kranenbroek nature area near Sint Joost. Registration is at the shelter by the entrance. At quarter past ten the children set off over a kilometre, and a quarter of an hour later all the other distances go together. The 2.5-kilometre loop is the basis; the longer distances — 4.5, 6.5, 8.5 and 10.5 kilometres — attach extra loops to it. To keep that workable, each distance has its own colour of arrows and a bib number in the same colour, so all you have to follow is your own colour. The course uses well-surfaced forest paths and country lanes.
