The Sfeervol Meerssen Run starts from the market square in Meerssen and heads into the South Limburg hill country, past Schietecoven, Genzon, Waterval and the Wijngaardsberg. The quarter marathon is a single lap of 10.55 kilometres, the half marathon that same lap twice — so after the first half you know exactly which climb is coming again. The 5 kilometres stays closer to the village. Each distance has its own minimum age, rising from twelve for the 5 kilometres to eighteen for the half. In the afternoon the children run their own race. The proceeds go to Metakids.
