Run for Nature is a recreational race organised by Natuurpunt Haacht through the nature reserves around the village. There is no starting gun: participants set off whenever it suits them between nine and ten in the morning, choosing along the way between roughly 5, 10 or 14 kilometres. The start and finish are at the Den Dijk sports hall on the Dijkstraat. The course runs largely in the shade through the Haacht countryside; the longer distances have a refreshment point halfway, and water and fruit wait at the finish. Changing rooms and showers are available. Natuurpunt members pay a lower entry fee than non-members, which underlines the tie to the nature organisation.
