Run Bike Run Witmarsum

About the race

Run Bike Run Witmarsum is the duathlon of the Comité Triatlon Witmarsum, starting and finishing on the Pingjumerstraat in the middle of the village. The organisers frame it as an eighth triathlon: 2.5 kilometres of running in place of the swim, then 20 kilometres on the bike and finally 5 kilometres running. That makes pacing harder than in an ordinary duathlon, because the heavier run comes after the bike. The signposted bike route passes Pingjum, Zurich, Cornwerd and Wons. You start individually or as a team, and companies and associations can also enter a competition of their own. The race counts towards the Fryslân Cup. Together with Loopgroep Witmarsum there is also a kids run.
