Rondje Almkerk is a village road race organised by Altena Road Runners, closely linked to Team Altena 280 and the Roparun charity effort. The Thursday 16 April 2026 edition started from Dirk van Clevestraat and used 2 km laps through Almkerk. Youth races covered 500 m, 1,000 m, 1,500 m and 2,000 m, while the longer programme included a 6 km fun run, a 6 km race for 16- to 19-year-olds and a 10 km that counts towards the Altena Road Circuit. The format is local and purposeful: no big prize purse, but a well-run street race whose proceeds go to charity.
