The Ronde van Waalre is the race of Loopgroep Waalre, with start and finish on the car park of RKVV Waalre on the Dreefstraat. There is a choice of 5, 10 and 15 kilometres. The evening builds up: first a mini run for the very youngest, then a youth race for school years five to eight, and at six o'clock the adult distances set off. The event is tied to a collection for Spieren voor Spieren, which supports research into muscle disease in children. The running group puts explicit emphasis on running together: the principle is that nobody has to cover the course alone, which makes the race as much a club evening as a classification.
