Rijk Zwaan Loop

About the race

The Rijk Zwaan Loop has been going for twenty-five years and does not open with the competition distances but with the children: at one o'clock the kids runs set off on the Marktplein, in school groups over 500 metres and a kilometre, with room for four hundred and fifty entrants. Only afterwards do the 5 kilometres and the 10 English miles go. Those ten miles — 16.1 kilometres — make an unusual main distance, one you meet more often in the Westland than elsewhere. The course stays in and around the centre of 's-Gravenzande, over streets, cycle paths and residential areas. For anyone who prefers walking there is a route of their own.
