The Ridderkerk City Run has the Koningsplein at its centre: start, finish, music and terraces all sit together, so you need not leave afterwards to get something out of the day. The afternoon opens with the City Walk over 5 kilometres, then the Kids Run of 1.3 kilometres goes off — from age four a parent may come along — and only then follow the 5 and the 10 kilometres. Because the starts are spread out, participants can watch each other run instead of missing each other. Companies enter teams of five. Every finisher gets a medal. The event is organised by Facet Ridderkerk.
