The Reynaertloop is the annual race of the Reynaertcomité in Belsele, a district of Sint-Niklaas, setting off in the early afternoon. The programme is classically built: a children's run of one kilometre, joggings over 4 and 8 kilometres and a competition run over 12. That structure explains the field — the joggings draw neighbours and recreational runners, while the 12 kilometres appeals to the local club runners. The secretariat and the prize giving are in the De Klavers sports hall, within walking distance of the start. With thirty-eight editions behind it, this is no novelty but a fixture on the Waasland running calendar.
