The Runners' Lab Halve Marathon Sint-Niklaas is a city race put on by Maspoe together with the city of Sint-Niklaas, starting and finishing on the renovated Grote Markt. The programme is deliberately narrow: one distance of 21.1 kilometres, with no shorter side races. The course runs through the centre and the station district, past Houtbriel, the Sint-Gillis side, Puyenbeke and the Sportkringpark, before returning to the market square. Eight pace groups run along, from 1:25 to 2:30, and there are refreshment posts with water and isotonic drink plus fun zones with entertainment. To keep traffic disruption down there is a time limit of two hours and forty-five minutes, or 7'50" per kilometre. Bibs are collected in advance at 't Bau-huis.
