The Reestdal FunRun is a survival obstacle run in the woods of the Reest valley near Balkbrug. The course combines paths with water and obstacles that participants climb over, hang from and crawl through; mud is an inseparable part of it. The setup is deliberately broad: there are categories for competitive runners, groups, parent-child pairs and recreational participants, a separate kids run and a G-run for participants with a disability. That makes the event as suitable for anyone chasing a time as for those turning it into a day out with friends or family. Teamwork remains the key word: many obstacles can only be cleared with help from others.
