Poemploewp is a Friday-evening community run in Herselt and one of the five races in the Herselt jogging criterion. The third edition on 12 June 2026 starts from Dorp 81 and has a strongly local programme: first the Karamellenkoers and children's races over 200, 400 and 600 metres, then the 5 km at 19:15 and the 10 km at 20:00. For the main distances there is water on course and water plus fruit at the finish; children receive a small gift after their run. The race also keeps a school ranking alive, with the Herselt school bringing the most pupils rewarded. That gives Poemploewp the feel of a compact village run where children, parents and recreational runners share the same evening.
