The PODOrun sets off beside the De Paort community centre on the market square in Kessel and turns on short laps through the village. The course takes in the finest stretches on the way: the Maas boulevard, the houses along the Veersepad, the historic market and the castle garden of Kasteel de Keverberg. The programme runs from young to old on a single morning: a bambino run of 500 metres from age four, 1000 metres from six, and from twelve the 2.5, 5 and 10 kilometres. Because the starts follow one another in a steady rhythm, parents and children can watch each other run without losing the day. The event is organised by Atletiek Helden.
