The Obstakelrun of Sprundel is run in the countryside around the sports park, straight through meadows and ditches. There are three distances. The short one consists of two laps of two kilometres and is meant for children; parents or guardians may run along free of charge. The eight kilometres suits anyone trying an obstacle run for the first time and sets off in small groups spread across an hour. The thirteen and a half kilometres is the toughest variant, with extra obstacles and a setup aimed at pushing through together. Because the obstacles lie out in open fields rather than on a closed site, the race feels more like a journey across the Brabant polder than a circuit event.
