The course is a single one-kilometre loop that stays open day and night for five days: you turn up when you like, run or walk as many laps as you like, and leave again. There is no collective start and no finishing time to beat. Every kilometre covered raises one euro for the causes the event supports, so the combined total of all participants is the real result. That makes it as accessible to a walker doing a single lap as to a runner who turns it into several nights.
