The Mud Cross takes place on and around Sportpark De Meulebèèk in Wanssum, in the Limburg Meuse valley. The course is a 5.5-kilometre loop full of obstacles that you cover once, twice or three times, so the difficulty scales from a first taste to 16.5 kilometres of mud and hurdles. Participation is open from the age of thirteen. Children from six have their own two-kilometre course with obstacles suited to them. The organisers deliberately keep it broad: experienced obstacle runners, beginners and families line up side by side, and it is more about getting through together than about the clock.
