The Leeuwerik Mispelhoef Zomerloop sets off from Herberg de Mispelhoef on the Oirschotsedijk, on the edge of Eindhoven near Acht. The choice is clear and is about surface rather than distance: eight kilometres on fully paved road, to be run or walked, or six kilometres of trail over half-paved and unpaved paths. Anyone wanting to hold a pace takes the eight; anyone preferring the green takes the six. It is emphatically a recreational event, with the inn as start, finish and gathering point afterwards. De Mispelhoef organises it themselves, with Eindhoven Atletiek supporting the race-technical side.
