The Memorial Rik Clerckx is the running day of Lummen, named after the late Linkhout athlete Rik Clerckx and organised by the association that bears his name. The programme plays out around the Schulensmeer lake and builds from a Fun-Run over 5 kilometres, by way of the 11 kilometre Oeverloop and the ten miles, to a 25 kilometre trail. Alongside that there is an extensive youth offering, right down to a toddlers' race, and a family relay of 600 metres in which a handover is required every 150 metres. Because of that structure almost every age and level has a start of its own, which makes the day more of a village-wide sports day than a single race.
