Memorial Filip Vanhaecke is a remembrance run in Ardooie with start and finish at CC 't Hofland. On Saturday 13 June 2026, Sportdienst Ardooie deliberately builds a broad programme: first kids runs of 450 metres, 750 metres and 1 kilometre, then a 2.5-kilometre walk, followed by the 5 km and 10 km running distances. As a result, the tribute is not limited to one race, but becomes an afternoon where children, walkers, recreational runners and faster athletes all have a place. The start at the cultural centre gives the event a clear local anchor, while the combination of short youth distances and classic 5 and 10 kilometre races keeps the sporting programme easy to follow. The remembrance aspect is in the name; the strength lies mainly in the simple, warm structure.
