The TVH Triatlon Izegem Centrum is the short format of the triathlon weekend run by the Izegem triathlon club: 350 metres swimming, 12 kilometres cycling and 3.5 kilometres running. That compact set-up makes it an accessible way in for anyone wanting to try a triathlon, and at the same time a fast race for the experienced — over these distances every transition counts. Everything happens in the centre of Izegem, so competitors and spectators are close together and the transitions are easy to follow. The same organisers hold a longer format on the same day, with a kilometre of swimming in the canal, forty kilometres of cycling and a ten-kilometre run, plus an aquabike option for those who want to skip the swim.
