Meerdaalwoud Trail

About the race

The Meerdaalwoud Trail closes the Flemish trail year with a winter weekend in Bierbeek. The start and finish are at CultuurCentrum De Borre: Saturday offers 13, 19, 28, 34 and 50 kilometres, Sunday 11, 20 and 29 kilometres. The routes run along winding singletrack, wide forest avenues and open stretches in the Meerdaalwoud, and they are fully waymarked, so there is no need to navigate by map or GPS. In December the going is usually muddy, while the climbing stays modest: from around 130 metres on the shortest distance to 670 on the fifty. Each day has a maximum of 1200 places. There are no disposable cups at the aid stations, so bringing your own cup is part of the deal.
