The Van Oers Marathon Brabant fills the centre of Etten-Leur on the last Sunday of October. The programme runs from the Family Loop of 500 and 1100 metres all the way to the full marathon, with 2.5, 5, 10 and 21.1 kilometres in between. The short distances stay inside the town, while the ten kilometres, the half marathon and the marathon head out into the countryside south of Etten-Leur. The marathon consists of two almost identical loops and finishes, like every other distance, on the Markt. The courses are largely paved, which makes the whole event fast. Anyone who would rather walk can join the City-Walk of around thirteen kilometres past historic sites and warehouses in the town. Stichting Marathon Brabant is behind the organisation.
