The Lutgarde Trail starts at the Abbaye d'Aywiers in Lasne and offers five distances: 9, 17, 24, 36 and 51 kilometres. The range therefore runs from a short introduction to trail running all the way to a full ultra, on the same terrain and from the same start. The climbing rises accordingly, from a couple of hundred metres on the shortest distance to around nine hundred on the longest. The abbey gives the event a character of its own: participants get access to the gardens and the start sits in a historic setting you rarely find at a trail race. The organisers run it under the same banner as a night trail elsewhere in the year.
