The LoveLife Run Friesland is the Frisian edition of the Fight cancer sponsored run and is held in Drachten. The programme offers a 5 kilometres, alongside kids' runs of 500 metres and one kilometre for the youngest participants. No times are recorded: you run at your own pace, and the heart of the day is that participants collect sponsorship beforehand. People living with or beyond cancer line up together with family, friends, colleagues and clinicians, often in teams that train towards the run together. The proceeds go to cancer research and to a cause in the region itself.
