Piterrun & Walk Lippenhuizen

About the race

The Piterrun & Walk is a recreational walking and running event in and around Lippenhuizen, put together by fellow villagers. The walkers set off first, in the morning over 22.1 kilometres and around midday over 12.4 kilometres; the runners follow over 22.1, 12.4 and 8.5 kilometres. The route crosses the Frisian countryside around the village, where nature and cultural landscape meet, with a central rest point along the way. The finish is on the THOR sports field, where changing rooms and showers are available and participants get a warm welcome. There is room for five hundred entrants. In the weeks beforehand, those signed up can train for free with the local running group.
