Loop Terwispel is the village race of Terwispel in Friesland, starting and finishing at Us Doarpshûs. The distances are partly set out in miles: alongside a 10 kilometres there is a 4-mile race of 6.4 kilometres, and for children a half mile of 800 metres and a full mile of 1600 metres. The 10 kilometres takes in almost every street of the built-up area before heading along the canal towards Tijnje and returning via the Alde Dyk; the 4 miles follows that same stretch along the water. The mile is also suitable for race runners, who get their own start. The kids' runs are free and parents may run alongside their child.
