The 100km de CAP48 starts at Intermills in Malmedy and gives you thirty hours to put together a hundred kilometres. That happens not on one long loop but across several trail courses of differing length and elevation through the High Fens, marked in part by Extratrail. You decide how to divide those hundred kilometres yourself: alone, with a team or in relay, running or walking. The purpose matters as much as the distance — participants raise money for medical research into autism, which makes the entry fee more a threshold than a price. Anyone who cannot get to Malmedy covers the same hundred kilometres at their own pace over three weeks.
