The Leiecorrida follows the banks of the Leie in Wevelgem, and that shapes the race: the quarter marathon of 10.5 kilometres is a single loop along the water, and the half marathon is that same loop twice. Anyone running the long distance therefore knows exactly what is coming after the first lap. Alongside them there is a 5 kilometres and a kidsrun. The course is flat and stays close to the water, with little elevation and long sightlines. Around the start the practical side is taken care of: timing, showers and supervised bag storage.
