Legends Backyard Belgium

About the race

Legends Backyard Belgium is a backyard ultra at Domein Beverdonk in Retie: every hour you set off on a 6.706 km loop, until only one runner is left. By day the loop runs over gravel, asphalt and stretches of woodland; at night (7 pm to 7 am) it becomes an out-and-back course on gravel and asphalt roads. The race began in Kasterlee in 2020 and moved to Retie in 2024. Several world records have already been set here, and the field regularly includes plenty of international top runners. In some years the race also serves as qualification for Team Belgium at the world championships for national teams.
