The KravALVA trail is run in and around the Kravaal forest near Aalst, with the event headquarters in the parish hall of Baardegem. Four distances are on offer: 9, 13, 20 and 28 kilometres, setting off in reverse order so the longest distance enters the woods first. The Kravaal forest has dry, sparse soils and zones with solid relief, which makes the course more technical than you would expect in this region. The exact routes are only published a few days before the race. Atletiek Land van Aalst organises the event and provides parking at three locations.
