The Kermisrun is a Saturday village race in Vlimmeren, run during the local fair and setting off from the Hoogstraat. There are two distances: 5 and 10 kilometres. The calendar lists it as a trail run, which indicates the course does not stick to paved roads but seeks out the rural paths around the village. The 5 kilometres has an aid station at the finish; those doing the 10 pass another one at six kilometres. Changing space is available but limited. The whole thing keeps the scale of a genuine village race: put on by a local running group and embedded in the fair weekend.
