The Hunebedloop leaves from the Dorpsplein next to the Willibrordkerk in Borger. There are two distances, 5 and 10 kilometres, and both pass hunebed D27, the largest dolmen in the Netherlands. The 10 kilometres starts at eleven, the 5 twenty minutes later; that same 5 kilometres also has a separate entry for youngsters aged 13 to 16. The morning before belongs to the children: the Oek jeugdloop has three age groups setting off one after another from half past nine. You register in advance, because every distance has a hard cap and there is no entry on the day. The race is part of the Univé Loopcircuit de Kop van Drenthe, a series of seven events.
