The ASML Halve van Veldhoven is the main running event for Veldhoven and the surrounding area, with the event site near the park on Europalaan. The start is on Cees Sleegerspad and the finish is on Rapportstraat. The programme combines the ASML Mini Run with 5 km, 10 km and a half marathon. The 10 km and half marathon are officially measured and use paved routes through Veldhoven and nearby villages such as Veldhoven-Dorp, Knegsel, Steensel and Zandoerle. Timing is provided on the main distances, with a medal and aid stations as part of the race experience. That mix of children's running, shorter distances and certified longer races keeps the event both accessible and serious enough for runners with a time goal.
