Halve van Oostende

About the race

The Halve van Oostende is a wintery half marathon by the coast. Start and finish are at Zeeheldenplein by the harbour. After a few sheltered kilometres through the centre, you run along the Koninklijke Baan and over the dune path towards Middelkerke and back again. The course is partly paved and partly unpaved, and in February the wind plays a major role: usually a headwind on the way out and a tailwind on the way back. Besides the half marathon, the previous edition also featured a 10 km. The full 2027 programme will follow via the organisers' channels.
