Trail Knokke-Heist is a trail run on the Belgian coast leading through dunes, beach, polders and nature reserves around Knokke-Heist, starting and finishing in the Burgemeester Graaf Leopold Lippenspark. The course passes the Zwin and the Blinkaert dune woods and closes with a section through the Royal Zoute Golf Club — a piece of ground you will not cross on foot on any other day. There are three distances: 8, 17 and 25 kilometres, each with its own start window, fully waymarked and with aid stations along the way. Timing is by chip and finishers receive a medal. At several stations you are asked to bring your own cup or bottle, because the organisers deliberately avoid disposable cups.
