The Halve van Helmond is based in the Brandevoort district, with the running events starting and finishing on De Plaetse in the Veste. The paved course is built from laps of 5 and just over 10 kilometres; the half marathon covers the long lap twice and is officially measured. Besides the 5 and 10 kilometres and the half marathon there are walking distances of 15, 20 and 30 kilometres, two kids' runs and a company race. Worth noting separately is the Uniekloop, over 1.25 or 2.5 kilometres, meant for participants the regular distances do not suit. That makes the event far broader than just a fast half marathon.
