The GR Provincie Trail Luxemburg starts in Érezée, in the Ardennes, and is built around the GR paths: the long-distance walking routes marked with red and white flashes throughout Belgium. There are two distances, a half marathon and a marathon, both starting and finishing in the village. Because the course follows the existing GR waymarking and GPX files are provided, navigating for yourself is part of the setup — you are not following a continuous line of course markers. The race belongs to a series in which the same organisation lays out such a GR trail in each Belgian province, so that over several editions participants come to know a different stretch of the network each time.
