Genk Marathon

About the race

The Genk Marathon is the first city marathon of Limburg and celebrates its very first edition on 1 November 2026. You start at Dieplaan and finish on Stadsplein in the city centre. The course lies entirely on paved roads and includes about 155 metres of elevation gain: no long climbs, but some undulation. Choose from the full marathon (start 9 a.m.), the 10 km (10 a.m.) or the half marathon (11 a.m.); in the afternoon there is also a free kids' run. The idea came from Genk local Ugur Tunckurt of Social Run Genk, who organises the event together with Sporty, with support from the city.
