Fluo Nightrun Brasschaat

About the race

The Fluo Nightrun sets off on a Saturday evening from the centre of Brasschaat and follows seven kilometres past twenty-five sights of the municipality — you run a route rather than a course. Along the way it goes straight through buildings in places, with light effects, music and entertainment. It is emphatically not a race: runners and walkers start together and nobody is competing on time. The organisers light part of the route but warn that other stretches stay deceptively dark, so a headlamp is no luxury. Fluo is the theme and it is taken seriously: the field dresses for it.
